The Town:
Plettenberg Bay is the beautiful bay of golden beaches, the Robberg peninsula and surrounded by indigenous Outeniqua-Tzitsikamma forests in and around the mountains. No wonder it is called the “Jewel of the Garden Route” – most probably one of the most spectacular bays in the world.

The weather:
Plett has a Mediterranean Maritime climate i.e. hot summers and mild winters.

The many activities and events:
Ranging from hiking, cycling, boat trips, horse riding, canoeing, scenic flights, walks in the Robberg nature reserve, bungy jumping, kayaking and deep sea fishing to polo, golf, gliding, scuba diving, swimming, sun bathing and partying in pubs, restaurants and night-spots.

Close by there are Monkeyland primate sanctuary and the Barnyard in The Crags, an Oyster farm in Knysna, the Wild Waters outside Plett, the Elephant Park in Harkerville and Bloukranz Valley.

And the whales and dolphins:
The southern coast of South Africa offers great opportunities to watch whales during winter and early spring when they are found in our calm waters to calve. The most famous viewpoints for this spectacular view are Lookout Viewpoint and Lookout Rocks. Not forgetting the dolphins swerving up and down in the surf.
